Sounds like Pakistan and the USA have much in common:--

  • Crooked Politicians
  • Filtered Media bought and paid for by various interest groups
  • Lobbying/Special Interest Groups having more influence on politicians than the very people they supposedly represent
  • Our judiciary (Supreme Court) entrenching this corrupt relationship considering corporations as individuals when contributing to campaign advertisements
  • The military-industrial complex being a major part of our economy and pushing the USA into an interventionist foreign policy as a means of doing business and for very dangerous ideological reasons
  • The Yellow Press praising this intervention supposedly for the purpose of promoting the good of mankind
  • Dumbing down our population so they can more easily be misled by the corrupt machine
  • Politicians Bankrupting the country by sending jobs overseas, letting in illegals to take jobs (e.g., agriculture) that can't be sent overseas - in both cases undercutting the wages of the America's backbone - the middleclass by sending it into lower-middleclass, lower class categories, moving the country towards fascism by intermingling the State and private sector by bypassing basic capitalistic principles and bailing out big banks/Wall Street and the automobile industry, encouraging subprime mortgages with floating interest rates knowing they could not pay them off, while allowing Wall Street to bundle this debt and sell it for profit until someone was left holding the bag - the biggest Ponzi Scheme the World has ever seen - all of which has helped the Middleclass lose the majority of its savings/retirement, many to lose their homes, and turned the industrial Mid-West into an impoverished "Rust Belt", while providing unskilled minimum wage service jobs or government welfare jobs increasingly as the major source of employment.
I think Pakistani and USA politicians must be making regular conference calls.

Subject: pakistans ambiguous politics

over the passage of years i have learnt that the state seeks to manipulate the masses in name of religion and ideas.the real loser is the common man.the state essentially is a conspiracy against the superior man and against the masses.the state needs to be viewed sceptically and all must be ready to rebel when the state infringes on the rights of man.we all need to be sceptical of our leaders and judges and generals.

i dont agree with the idea that a general or politician or judge is propelled by pure conviction .All compromised and sold their souls to rise and as Francis Bacon says gained dignity by indignity.Presently we have another manipulation in pakistan with a judiciary acting as a tool for the generals to overthrow democracy.we have judges here and a TV channels who just paint one man as bad and forget about so many crooks who are prime political leaders of this country.

the story is long but the lesson is that all pillars of pakistani state are tools being used by generals and politicians.a man may take one stand in life when cornered and fighting for fear of forfeiture of office .but more often the same man would be in league with some hidden force for a hidden agenda.

i dont for a minute would agree that any pakistani yellow journal or yellow channel is losing money.

yes there were genuine newspapers in pakistan like Frontier Post or Muslim (for sometime) and Pakistan Times (1947 to 1958) but that age is finished. What we see now as bold journalism is in reality journalists paid well by an industrialist politician or a state agency for an agenda.

not for a second would i rate any single anchor person of a pakistani TV channel as anywhere near Mazhar Ali Khan,Tariq Ali or Iftikharuddin.

how is it that all corruption of pakistan is taking place in between 1993 and 1997 and none between 1958 and 1969 ,none between 1977 and 1988 and none between 1997 and 1999 and none between 1999 and 2007 ?

how is it all the targets of pakistans judges are politicians but no single general and not a single man from nawaz sharif or ch shujaat hussains group ?

this is all very ambiguous and dark.

i have not made a cent from any party but i feel that all that is going on in pakistani is not for rule of law or a free press?

every pakistan TV anchor when he criticises a scam has been paid by someone.truth died in 1857 and in 1947.
