To Keep and Bear Arms
Hmmm,
ÂÂ
Wonder where the fellow known as the US Attorney General will line up on this.
To Keep and Bear Arms
Eighty-two-year-old Robert Wallace from Wheat Ridge, Colorado, may be spending the rest of his life in jail after defending his home. In February, Wallace says that he witnessed two thieves hooking his flatbed trailer to their pickup truck. The suspects ignored demands to stop and sped off with the trailer; Wallace says that he fired two shots toward the truck as they were leaving.
Just minutes later, Damacio Torres, 32, arrived at the ER at a local hospital to get Alvaro Cardona, 28, medical attention. The latter had been struck in the face by a bullet. Later, Torres admitted to police that they stole the trailer from Wallace's home. According to Wallace, the suspects threatened him during the incident, and he says, "They almost ran me over."
Despite the confession of the crime, and despite both Torres and Cardona living in the United States illegally with arrest records, neither suspect so far has been charged with any wrongdoing. Ironically, Wallace is being charged with 12 felony counts, four of those on the count of attempted first-degree murder. While currently free on bond, Wallace's court date is scheduled for September; at age 82, he may well spend the rest of his life in prison.

Man shoots illegal aliens who are stealing his property
An eighty two year old man is facing multiple charges of attempted murder because he was protecting his own property in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Robert Wallace was peering out of his living room window when he saw two men hitching his flatbed trailor to their pick up truck.
He yelled at them to stop. They tried to drive away. Wallace fired two shots at the pickup and one of the bullets hit one of the thieves and he is now paralyzed.
Damacio Torres and Alvara Cardano who stole the flatbed trailer, both believed to be in this country illegally, are not being charged with anything. Only Mr. Wallace who was protecting his property is being charged.
Here is some of the facts that the district attorney was aware to make the decision to charge Mr. Wallace and not the two illegals.
The following is from Current TV
1) the two illegal aliens had many prior arrests for theft. At one point recently they stole a $60,000 piece of farm equipment on a trailer in a very similar theft.
2) investigators said they believe the two criminals are part of a car theft ring, and wanted the trailer for additional thefts.
3) the driver of the truck was hit by a bullet and is now paralyzed, and wants to sue the elderly man "for everything he has"
4) In interviews on Denver radio programs, local defense lawyers, former prosecutors and former Congressmen in Colorado have stated that had the "victims" been anything other than illegal immigrants, Mr. Wallace would not be charged at all.
5) the prosecuting attorneys have pressed NO CHARGES against the illegal immigrant theives. NONE.
Does any of this make you angry? It should.
ÂÂ
News update of incident. As long as our government refuses to enforce the law you are going to have a blurring of lines between right and wrong. It's just not right. It's just not right.
