DON'T BLAME THE AMERICAN PEOPLE

Do you know of the book "1984" by George Orwell. My people are drugged, fat and happy by materialism/consumerism but that drug is running out.  We are an inward looking society - most have never left the USA.  Most don't realize what the political elites/Government are doing overseas.  They receive propaganda on TV from Fox, CNN etc.

We are no longer a Democracy but a  Corporatocracy - our politicians bought lock stock and barrel by lobbyists/special interest groups - the entire system corrupted.  We are a nation of pioneers - our country was founded on leave us alone and we will leave you alone - isolationists. Our military was a defensive not an offensive tool.  All citizens as enshrined in the Send Amendment of our Constitution have the right to keep and bear arms as part of the militia - something the political elite continually try and eliminate. This has changed - I guess in the last century.

Our army - military industrial complex (see Eisenhower speech) is now an offensive tool of the Corporatocracy - with little or no morality as to how many are killed in achieving the agendas of the corporates/political elites - as is foreign aid from USAID to World Bank to IMF, etc.

Unfortunately, my people have been sold down the river over the last 40 years through open border Chicago School Free Market Trickle Down Economics - that turns out to be tickle up only - the drug may be wearing off - our economy is suffering as the strength of our society - the blue collar middleclass, the small businessman, small farmer, skilled artisan - are disappearing since our American companies have morphed into Multi-Nationals going overseas for slave labor and no environmental controls as a means of maximizing their profits. Little or nothing we buy in America is made there anymore - while back in the 1970s this was not the case. Our middleclass is sinking into the lower middleclass and poor - more and more minimum wage service jobs such as at MacDonald's and Wal-Mart being what is available to them and then only a few.  Unemployment is at 10%.

Thus the American people, as the rest of the world are suffering while a few - the elites in Washington, Wall Street and the corporates enrich themselves.

I can tell you -once you leave the D.C. metropolitan area that is an artificial economy reflective of the System - Americans are suffering.  Most no longer trust the Government.  We have one of the highest non-voting rates in the World as many think it is a waste of time.  I myself voted in State elections but the choices in the last presidential election were so pathetic that I did not bother.  certainly we have better people than those selected - but those selected are part of the machine attempting to keep the process in motion.  Obama is nothing but a chocolate Bush - appears different but underneath he is vanilla.  People are disenchanted with Government but don't know how to change it.

What is happening is not sustainable - printing paper, borrowing from China - a House of Cards waiting to collapse.

Some believe our economic system will have to collapse and then we can start all over again.

I don't have the answer - but the status quo is unacceptable for Americans and the rest of the World.  Living overseas - most people would tell me - we like you Americans but we hate your government.

Please - tell your people - it is not us, it is our political elites an corporates.  Don't harm the American people - but then when we see what the drones do to innocents in Pakistan I guess this is a naive request.

Regards
