A TripAdvisorâ„¢ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Colima, Mexico by TravelPod blogger Lenitasworld titled "The state of Colima" Lenitasworld's travel blog entry: "The tiny little state of Colima proves to be a pleasant rich state, at least to what it looks like to us. Driving into the state we pass banana, tequila and other plantations as far as the eye can see. Beautiful landscapes and everything seems pretty organized and in order : ) We pass the biggest city in this state called Manzanillo, which also has the biggest port of the whole country. It is a very touristy place, too touristy for us without any camping so we continue and pass the night in Barra de Navidad in the state of Jalisco. Curiously enough this expensive rich place is completely invaded by Canadians! There are a couple hotels on an island where a night costs USD 600, so there must be some money in this town. We can't believe that our aged Canadian neighbours make more noise than the students at the beach staying up drinking and chatting. We feel like old conservative people when we change rooms so we can have our beauty sleep, but indeed we need it every night : ) In the morning we pass a bakery for some fresh home made cookies, and I feel I finally have my Christmas cookies!
