A self-proclaimed risk-taker, Angel is a 17 year old exchange student from China studying at York School who started her own online business at a very young age. Angel is also an "adventurous navigator" who has found her cross-cultural Chinese-American experience to be both diverse and complementary as she has begun to explore in depth the heavy issues of life in both worlds, and laugh about the lighter ones. Angel is passionate about fighting against the worst crime of all: indifference. She battles passionately for everything she does, and she believes that this makes all the difference. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*
