Syria is experiencing a Crime Wave that is officially sanctioned by the Police State apparatus of longtime Dictator Bashar Assad. The Army and private Alawite sect militia have stolen and destroyed countless millions of dollars of private property in the last six months as they went on an orgy of rampage, looting and pillaging villages, towns and cities across Syria. The victims of the looting have been primarily Sunni citizens of Syria, and we have posted videos of whole convoys of Army trucks driving down Syrian Highways loaded with stolen motorcycles and other looted private property. When I was a kid in Syria it was well known that young men would join, first Rifaat's army, and then, years later, "Maher's Army" in order to get in on the stealing and corruption. Any Lebanese citizen can tell you horror stories about how the Syrian Army looted and stole billions of dollars of property from Lebanon and carted it all back to Syria during the decades our army was stationed there. Today the Army is doing the same looting but to our own Sunni people in our own towns and cities.
