"...Japanese police have begun interviewing sumo wrestlers who allegedly took part in illegal gambling. A total of 29 wrestlers and stable masters, including the 2nd-highest ranked Ozeki champion Kotomitsuki, have confessed to the Japan Sumo Association their involvement in illegal gambling on professional baseball games. Tokyo Police began interviewing on Saturday wrestlers and stable masters alleged to have gambled. Police have learned Kotomitsuki took part in the illegal activity with the help of the wrestlers' hair stylist, called a Tokoyama, who acted as an intermediary between the bookie and the wrestlers. They are also interviewing the Tokoyama on suspicion that he is involved with other cases of illegal gambling as well.
