Healdsburg California had been known in the past for it's wine and strong independent spirit. During the 1930s the local population revolted against the big banks and speculators. The local farmers organized and formed Coops to take control and profits back out of the hands of Bankers and put that money back into their own pockets... and, it worked!!! Today history is again repeating it's self.... A new strong spirited local population has once again targeted the big banks for the very same reason! For months now the Major Banks in Healdsburg have been once again targeted by a very determined and dedicated population... A population with a plan to divest from the Major Banking institutions that helped bring our national economy and the global economy to its knees. "Occupy the Banks!!!!" yelled from a car driving by the small determined army of local people encouraging them on ~ as they hand out hundreds of pages of information to bank customers... Two days ...at Bank of America.... then, Two days at Wells Fargo... Then more two days... like clock work... it builds momentum and support. The local Credit Unions all claim that they are doing an incredible business! And they are loving every bit of this... as their accounts and assists grow!
