It's a crime that could be causing your car insurance premium to go up. The National Insurance Crime Bureau says false and exaggerated personal injury claims have tripled since 2008. And Minnesota ranks 10th in the nation, with 53 such claims in 2011. Even more troubling, Minnesota is number one in the country when it comes to increased organized criminal activity in insurance fraud. Officials say this often happens in the form of something called an accident ring.
