This mini-doc is about the Legal Assistance Center(LAC); a program set up by the International Rescue Committee w/ support from UNHCR, EU Commission, and UKAID. The program, which promotes legal awareness and access to justice for Burmese refugees in Thailand, is the first program ever to offer organized legal services in a refugee camp. The LAC staff and volunteers give trainings to camp residents, work with leadership on Rule of Law and mediation practices, and help clients access the Thai Justice System.
