Major auto theft ring busted in E. Tenn., police say

KNOXVILLE - Dollywood, Bristol Motor Speedway and other crowded public places in East Tennessee were some of the favorite auto theft targets of an organized crime ring that may have stolen up to 1,000 vehicles over the past 10 years, authorities say.
