Judge backs Romney in lawsuit

A federal judge has ruled that former governor Mitt Romney and his staff did not violate the rights of a Belmont man by pressuring him to resign as the state civil service commissioner in 2003 after learning he had bought property and obtained a mortgage from former New England Mafia underboss Gennaro “Jerry’’ Angiulo.
