Charges Laid In Fraud Investigation

Six people have been arrested and a warrant has been issued for a seventh in an ongoing fraud investigation which targeted the mail.  Peel police say an organized crime group stole mail containing cash and cheques, and they would then create phony driver’s licenses, and social insurance cards to cash those cheques at various banks.  Over $500, 000 was taken.
