No, the main weapon in the normal Yakuza games is just barehanded melee attacks. You can get a very large number of melee weapons and some guns later on in the games, but the guns are usually not as powerful as you'd think guns to be, plus they can't b

My impression of what I've seen of the Yakuza games is that they're kind of like a faster paced, less boring Shenmue. This one seems pretty different from that though. Is the main weapon usually guns?

No, they have not brought all of the Yakuza games to the West. They skipped over Ryū ga Gotoku Kenzan!, which is set during the Edo period. It looks really nice, and we will probably never get to play it with any kind of localization.

1 minute into this quick look and l can say is: learn how to say yakuza before making a 30 minute video on a game called yakuza. Here's a hint: It's NOT "yackiza". :\

Why are the character models so huge compared to the buildings? Your character walks through a door on the street and his head is almost to the top at 3:21 for example.

Yakuza 3 is where it's at if you want to play a modern one. It provides recaps of 1 & 2.

Why do a quicklook with two people who have absolutely NO experience with a game whatsoever and have clearly no idea what they're talking about half the time? Surely there's someone over at GiantBomb who has played a Yakuza game before..
