The committee was the brain child of the National Assembly. It aims to curb insecurity and fight organized crime, which has taken its toll on the nation. The Firearms Control and Disarmament legislation will be discussed next week. Lawmaker Freddy Bernal says the meeting will discuss proposals and ideas raised by universities, NGOs and councils.
