The Rootstone Jug Band, from Roanoke, Virginia, performs traditional Appalachian music known as "jug band music." This actually covers a range of styles from bluegrass to ragtime to blues, all done with energy and good humor. "Old Jim Kinnane" is about a Memphis crime boss in the 1930s, who controlled just about all the organized illegal activities in that city. This performance was at Mason District Park in Annandale, Virginia. I shot this with a Canon Vixia HF-S30 for the main shot and a Canon Vixia HF G10 for the cutaway/close-up shots. And no, there shouldn't be a toddler on the stage.
