The Party for Socialism and Liberation is intervening in the 2012 presidential elections to bring a revolutionary, socialist message into the electoral arena. This video features presidential candidate Peta Lindsay, vice presidential candidate Yari Osorio and Vote PSL campaign volunteers. Capitalism is a form of organized crime. Workers create the wealth of society, yet we do not own or control the very wealth we produce. This week, the Democratic Party pulled out all the stops during the DNC to sell the idea that things are getting better. In reality, millions of working people continue to suffer from unemployment, lack of health care, student debt, and so many other ills created and perpetuated by capitalism. Both the Republican and Democratic Parties offered lots of rhetoric at their national conventions, but not a single concrete solution to the crisis facing working people. They can't. That would require putting the interests of workers ahead of the interests of the banks and corporations to whom both major parties are beholden. The 10-point program of the Lindsay/Osorio Presidential Campaign calls for an immediate cancellation of student debt. It calls for making a job a Constitutional right. It calls for seizing the banks and jailing Wall Street criminals. Real solutions that could be implemented now — but that can only come about through struggle, no matter who ends up in the Oval Office. We need a new system: socialism.
