The Aramaic phrase "Maranatha" translated as "Our Lord Come!" was used as a greeting between Early Christians and is found at the end of Paul's First Epistle to the Corinthians (1 Cor 16:22). Maranatha Christian International Film Festival is an organized, extended presentation of films made by Christians which will debut in September 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel located in downtown Rochester, New York. The films presented will include both domestic and international releases. Founded by Bryan M. Little and organized exclusively for charitable purposes as a not for profit 501(c)(3) MCIFF was created to be a vital way to empower Christian Filmmakers & Artists. We encourage and support Christian filmmakers to change the culture of media in our world. We do this by giving them a place to network and meet others who have learned to trust not in their ability but God's provision, that's Maranatha Christian International Film Festival. Whether a tear jerker, crime drama, comedy, or a science fiction film laden with special effects we desire to assist Christian filmmakers exhibit their talents and skills to a worldwide audience.
