Lauren Walker is a candidate for Washington State Representative, District 27, Position 2. As the Executive Director of the Fair Housing Center of Washington, Lauren has fought to ensure civil rights for people across our state. As the former President of the Hilltop Action Coalition, Lauren organized neighbors, block by block, in collaboration with police and community leaders, to combat crime in the Hilltop community that she calls home. Lauren has a proven track record of strong fiscal and resource management; she is a skilled listener and mediator who understands how to build bridges and solve problems. Lauren is currently serving the people of Tacoma with her passion and creative solutions on the Tacoma City Council.
