See this TripWow and more at tripwow.tripadvisor.com Kobe Beef, Osaka Sake and Kyoto Drinking "Kobe is primarily famous for 3 things, 1) the tragic earthquake in 1995, 2) for having the most members of the Yakuza (thats Japanese mafia) in the entire country and finally 3) for its amazing beef which if you don't know already is from particular breed of cattle (Wagyu for those who want to know) where the cattle is treated with utmost respect and given the best grass, fed beer and sake and from what I've heard are also massaged by beautiful women (I'm not too sure about that last bit). Thankfully we only experienced the last of the three features. We reached Kobe at lunch time after a very efficient 2 hour journey from Hiroshima. We took in the harbour area and the earthquake memorial before lunching on an Indian meal of a starter, a curry, a nan bread and a drink for around 4 pounds (as i said before Japan isn`t so expensive) all served by Japanese staff which felt a bit wierd for a curry house. In the afternoon we made our way up to mount rokko (by funicular railway this time rather than climbing) which has one of the 3 best night time views in all of Japan and is described as a "$10 million dollar view".
