This was the first mob movie I've seen that could make you sleep (and it's not with the fishes.) *Until I can add annotations, here are other problems I had with the film; I found the scene with Frankie talking to Russell while he was getting high out of place. If the movie itself was about drug abuse, then it would've fit but the first person heroin experience was unnecessary. The beating of a certain character by two men was drawn out and over the top. It didn't have to be so brutal and graphic. The movie itself was a closer and realistic look at organized crime, I get that, but that scene could've been shorter or even omitted.*
