2006- Channel 7 news An accused Italian crime figure who was recently arrested in a major police operation in Shepparton,has been named at a Coroners inquest as the prime suspect of an unsolved murder. A coroner has said that fruiterer Vince Lattore was either the man who killed the victim or organised for it to be done by somebody else. The dead man,small time criminal Rocky Iiaria,who's body was found in a used grave at the Pine lodge cemetery in 1998. Iiaria,aged 22,was last seen back in 1991 when facing trial along with Lattore over a million dollar house robbery. Lattore was later aquitted of the charges,with Iiaria being lured or kidnapped to his death before the trial. Iiaria' body was found by grave workers on top of another used coffin in the site, He was found wrapped in plastic sheeting,covered in lime with his hands tied behind his back. He had been shot several times in the back of the head and back with a shotgun. Lattore has never been charged with the crime,and has always claimed he's innocent of the.
