A report from Amnesty International highlighting the plight of migrants travelling through Mexico. Marcos Silver and Gael Garcia Bernal recently created an amazing film about this which can be found here: www.youtube.com Recently there was a massacre of 72 migrants who were found shot dead but this is only the tip of the iceburg. These may be part of a huge toll of hundreds, and perhaps thousands, of migrants killed by organized crime gangs and whose bodies may have been hacked up, dissolved in acid or buried in unmarked paupers graves, as well as victims of kidnapping, violence, rape and extortion. Not only this but there are reports of ill-treatment by the authorities themselves and many crimes are not reported due to fear of deportation.
