Based upon a science fiction novel written by Soviet authors Arkady and Boris Strugatsky, written in 1969 and originally published in 1971. Generally eastern Europe is not known for making Western-type triple-A games (though it looks a lot better uncompressed when actually playing it, rather than how it is presented here), but there is a mystique to them--while it might not be a great game, it definitely has its own flavor. As you can hear, the music is looped--it would be nice to import entire tracks into the game, but they crash if you do that (they are highly finicky)--so any music replacement must be done in much smaller minute to minute-and-a-half loops (like 2 MB at most). No way around it. Still... In case you wanna know, the plot goes thusly (taken directly from some of the game textfiles I translated): The 1971 novel "The Inhabited Island" by the Strutgatsky ...
