In a moment of desperation, Mrs. Mathews steals a car in order to return stolen money to the illusive mob boss, Mr. Cake. Her problems take a turn for the worst when she discovers a body in her trunk. Desperate Hour was originally created for the Corpus Christi 7 Day Film Project. After three days of arguing over what the film is to be about (original idea involving aliens and a naked man trapped in a closet) I sat down with a pen and paper and shat out the script with the expectations of someone else coming up with a better story. I like the story, but wish I could go back and clean up the shoot. Due to the rush of making a 7 day film in 4 sleepless days, the story came out a little bit questionable and full of loose ends. Even still, thanks to my Co-Director, Bailor Ellison, and my cast and crew; everything pulled together and the film got done... three minutes too late and we were forced out of the competition. Even though, according to our watches and clocks we were there on time, other filmmakers refused to let us compete. Here's a question I'm curious about. If you're afraid of competition, why would you enter one? These people who refused to let us compete because we were late; I understand that rules is rules, but if our roles were reversed I would have let your film be shown.     special effects were awesome. the nubby finger, the head wound (awesome intro), the broken glass. kudos. car steal scene was genius, i dug MR CAKE, i always dig CHUCKLES. Prince kills even when hes getting killed!great twists, dead bodies everywhere.
