Hello, my name is Michael Garrett. I am 36 yrs old. I am the CEO of two independent record labels. I am a black man who is frequently a victim of police corruption/brutallity, and racism. This most recent incident involves a Bail Bondsman office located on 75 Smith st. ,Brooklyn, NY(DOWNTOWN AREA). I tried to collect my bail collateral from this office after a 5 month waiting period only to be told nothing but "you must talk to the Boss, George Zouvelos to get your money" . But the Boss could never be reached. After 2 weeks of visiting the bosses office, where they collected my $4250.00 , calling their Brooklyn and Manhattan offices I received no information about the return of my collateral. After feeling so much stress and strain on 03/09/12 at 12:26 pm I filed a full complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Later that evening after a music video shoot I traveled to 75 Smith st.office to make another attempt to collect my collateral. I brought my 5D Cannon to record the event. In the footage you will see the partner of Mr. Zouvelos, Mr. Vinny threaten me with a criminal trespassing charge, make racial remarks, assault my cameraman, tell me to "go collect welfare", and says "thats whats wrong with you people" as a racial remark of disgrace to be Black.He calls the Police, and once he realizes I committed no crime , he uses his power to revoke Ferman Parkers bail within 16 hours of the recorded outburst in his office.
