Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Aziz Yıldırım was first to be detained in a probe into match-fixing allegations in the Turkish football league. Mr Yıldırım was hospitalised shortly after the detention, and was questioned at Court only one week after the operation. Police officers from the Organized Crime Department had raided residences after carrying out surveillance regarding the match-fixing allegations.
