Thompson in the year 1919, he sought to replace old bolt action rifles with semi-automatic ones and inturn ended up with this. The real gun fires the .45. Used extensively in WWII, Officers enlisted and non-enlisted would often be found carrying Thompsons around. The gun also came to be known as the Tommy gun, in the 1920's this particular gun became famous with certain groups of organized crime and famous criminals.
