Victim called 'muscle for hire'

Charbel Chaar was a muscle-for-hire drug dealer and bodyguard who climbed to the top of the ladder of an organized crime group and set out on Sept. 4, 2003, to kill the very men now accused of stabbing and slashing him to death, one of his accused murderers suggested yesterday.
