Triads roping in foreigners

GEORGE TOWN - LOCAL secret societies are recruiting foreigners from Myanmar and Indonesia into their fold, said Penang police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Wira Ayub Yaakob. 'Most of them are roped to look after illegal stalls or shops selling CDs, VCDs and DVDs here.Unlike in the 70s or 80s when the members used to be exclusively Chinese, secret societies are now open to others.
