Supreme Court declines to stay Haryana notification on illegal felling

New Delhi, Mar 3 : The Supreme Court has declined to stay a Haryana government notification giving powers to forest officers to take coercive steps in offences including illegal felling of trees in the forest areas such as Aravalli hills and activities of timber mafia leading to extensive damage to the forests in the state.
