Stamford officer released from hospital

Stamford Police officer Richard Gasparino suffered a gunshot wound to the face as the Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit was executing a search warrant at 162 Lockwood Ave. in the Cove section of Stamford. Gasparino was honored as 2009 Officer of the Year earlier this year.
