Premier Jean Charest says 'Godfather' label goes too far

Premier Jean Charest closed a weekend meeting of his Quebec Liberal Party by taking exception to a remark by Action démocratique du Québec leader Gérard Deltell. Deltell called Charest the “godfather,” to highlight the premier’s refusal to call a public inquiry into allegations of corruption and Mafia infiltration in Quebec construction industry.
