Man shot by police serving search warrant in Newport News

NEWPORT NEWS One man was taken to a hospital after being shot by police who were trying to serve a search warrant in the 4500 block of Marshall Ave., police said.  Investigators with the police department’s Organized Crime Division went to the home just after 11 p.m. to serve the warrant, said Lou Thurston, police spokesman.
