Community shares feelings toward Agent Zapata

Ask the Brownsville community to describe Jaime Jorge Zapata, and the word “hero” comes up repeatedly, whether people knew him personally or not. Trisha Lee Varela summed up what many have been saying since the tragic news of Zapata’s death Feb. 15 at the hands of gunmen apparently working for organized crime in Mexico.
