 Syrian Cabinet Approves Infrastructural Restoration in Homs

Damascus, May 22 (Prensa Latina) The Council of Ministers approved today the execution of Works to repair the infrastructure damaged in clashes triggered by armed, terrorist violence in Homs, central Syria, it was officially informed.

 During a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Adel Safar, the Council of Ministres also approved a proposal made by the Ministry of Information to restore the Al-Wahda Foundation for press, printing, publication and distribution.

 The ministers approved the decision of the National Media Council to grant licenses to six Syrian newspapers and 13 magazines.

 According to Information Minister Adnan Mahmoud, with that initiative Al-Wahda becomes a public corporation named Syrian Media and Distribution Company.

 Mahmoud also referred to issuing a new journal to replace Al-Thawra (Revolution) and the newspaper Tishreen.
