Human violations in the name of Hajj.
I saw a dream through out my life to go to Hajj and perform Hajj peacefully, I waited a long time for that day. I saved my money for this occasion, but, sadly what I actually experienced and saw was nothing but VIOLATIONS OF HUMAN RIGHTS.
It is a violation of Human Rights to allow 3 million people
Yes, the things that happened during Hajj are definitely VIOLATIONS OF HUMAN RIGHTS.
People have every right to perform their religious obligations with peace of mind, absolutely not by being traumatized and being tortured at the hands of Saudis.
1: I am not an orthodox Muslim, but, I was excited to perform my Hajj for my spiritual cleansing and connection with God and people. I was planning for it for a few years, till God accepted my prayers and my wishes came true and I got a golden chance to travel this pious journey in the hope of finding something that will answer my long held questions. I wished to go there to talk to my God in a very special way. I think I was in love with the idea of Hajj. That was my last hope and I never thought in my wildest dreams that I will be disappointed in such a way that will be a turning point in my life. I had an idea about Saudi people but never thought that Saudis are such rogues. When I landed on Jeddah airport, my dreams began to shatter when I started experiencing typical Saudi and Paki moral corruption.
2: The moment I crossed the clearance line of Hajj terminal I was told that I need to clear my passport and need to submit $300 as an entry fee to the clerks at the airport, which I did. They in return started agonizing me and other Pakis(Hajjis) for 12 hours for a little stamp of clearance which was held just because those teenager Saudi clerks were taking breaks every ten minutes and were chit chatting, making fun of us, laughing at our miseries, and blocking us and our passports for unknown reasons. We were at their mercy and all they were doing was enjoying our helplessness. When our passports got stamped, then our group leader(our Hajj agent) didn't show up because the guy turned out to be a rogue (this guy is Pakistani cardiologist and runs a hajj company). We trusted him, but, he proved himself to be a thug. I understand 98% of Pakis are dishonest, but, I was pretty sure that nobody will cheat at Hajj or for Hajj. But, I was wrong, completely wrong.
3: Anyway, this guy made us wait for hours and hours. We tried to go ourselves to Mecca via taxi or via bus, but, Saudi authorities threatened us that we could not leave the airport without our leader (agent) and if we do, we will be arrested and won't be able to perform Hajj. During this time my husband was missing for 30 minutes and I got worried, I asked a Saudi security officer for help and he told me to come with him to the next terminal to search for my husband but there he started talking to some other Saudis and they were teasing him for finding a new girlfriend. When I realized the situation I turned around and came back to my terminal where thank God I saw my husband waiting for me. I told my husband about that Saudi officer who probably was planning to kidnap me??? Later I heard that in Saudi Arabia, if they see any woman unaccompanied by a man, they kidnap those women and then force them to marry them and keep them in their harems.
4: After 24 hours we got in a bus, where four of us women sat on front seats. To my shock, the bearded Saudi driver announced that we have to give him our passports and that all women should go and sit on back seats and all men should sit on front seats. We did that b/c my sister told me that, if, I don't do it the Saudis would arrest me for not obeying them. And the driver told us that these passports would be returned when we leave Saudia. And that if we got to travel from one city to another we got to be with our hajj agent (leader) and we could not travel on our own and if we would try to do, we would be arrested for ten days.
5: Then we started our unending journey from Jeddah to Mecca which is normally three to four hours journey. But, that day it turned out to be 14 hours. It was a torturous 14 hours bus journey with a brand new driver who didn't know the directions to Mecca and every fifteen minutes he got lost and was being guided by two teenager boys. On our way we were checked at least 17 check posts, every check post some new faces with beards and long robes came to count heads, then count passports and looking at us with strange looks. And no air condition with outside temperature of almost more than 90 degree F.
6: When we reached Mecca, our hotel room was not reserved, they let us wait for at least another four hours at the steps of hotel Intercontinental which is owned by King Khalid and which is located near Masjid-ul-Haram. On regular days per room is about $300 per night, but, during Hajj days they increase the rent to almost $700 per night. That hotel was so called 5 stars, but, the service was worse than even a 1 star hotel with rude Saudi staff and very poor quality food.
7: What I saw in Masjid-Ul-Haram was the worst sight of all...I saw almost a million people squished in that small place, sleeping on the floor, on the steps and even in bathrooms. Eating their foods in bathrooms....that itself was gross. There was no place to perform hajj peacefully. There was not even enough place to breath fresh air....there was a sea of human beings.....public bathrooms and toilets were full of feces and urine and on top of that people were sleeping in those places, eating food and exposing their small kids to those extremely noxious and contaminating environmental conditions where there was nothing, but, human filth and stink. Everyone was coughing and was sick, so many people were having food poisoning including myself.
8: During Tawaf (when we have to take 7 circles around Kabbah) I saw men squishing and squeezing other people without caring for anyone....I was shocked to see their aggressive behavior....everyone wanted to go in to that place and be done with 7 circles, so many people died because of stampede and I saw them dying, and other people jumping on their dead bodies without any feeling....while I was doing my circles, all of a sudden I saw few groups of Black Nigerian and Somalian men and also Iranian men jump inside pushing others including women...it was such a chaotic gathering that I was shocked and speechless...all I was experiencing and observing was people pushing and pulling physically the weaker and letting them die and then running over their dead bodies......a point came when these groups came closer to me, I felt my whole body was being squeezed forcefully from both sides....and I felt as if I am dying any time and I didn't feel that I could breath.....till I gathered my whole strength and screamed," STOP IT, YOU ANIMALS, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, WHAT USE OF THIS HAJJ, IF, YOU HAVE NO FEELINGS FOR YOUR FELLOW HUMANS? All of a sudden I felt some kind hand pull me out of this psychotic crowd....and that was my own sister, who rescued me out.....thank God, it was the end of my last circle...I was pale, shivering, nauseous and dizzy. All my dreams about performing Hajj were shattered by now. All I saw was extreme selfishness, filth, extreme cruelty , aggression and psychotic behavior. Where was the main essence of Hajj? where was Humanity? where were humans? Majority of people were not humans, yes, they were acting like some jungle beasts which are struggling for survival.
8: Then came the day when I had to leave Mecca to go to Mina, what happened in Mina was more shocking to us, our Hajj agent stuffed 50 people in a small tent which was not even sufficient for 8.
This man promised us that this tent would be occupied by 8 to 10 persons and two private bath rooms per tent with fresh food daily. These Hajj companies along with Saudi Govt. exposed us to extreme violation of human rights where they gathered us in the name of religion called Hajj subjected to dying, being looted, plundered, wounded, being exposed to different diseases.
When we went to Arafat, our tent was without any air for the whole day and not only that our Hajj Mafia left us without food for hours.
Then our Hajj Mafia left us deliberately in Mecca's streets without any help, they didn't wait for us as we were performing our last Hajj ceremonies in Haram which was extremely crowded at that time, almost 3 Million were performing their last Tawaf. Hajj Mafia took their bus to Medina without us and when we tried to contact them, they yelled at us and accused us for their own unorganized behavior. And not only they didn't help us, but, they also misguided us by telling us to go back and forth for no reason. At the end we hired a taxi and paid the driver triple amount to go to Medina and we took the big risk of traveling without passport which is illegal in Saudia.
When we reached Medina, again there were no rooms for us. We had to spend several hours without rooms. Finally, we got a room and just after one hour of getting that room, A Saudi manager called us, threatened and yelled at us by saying, "get out of these rooms, these are my room, they are not reserved for you people (mind it, we already paid $300 and more per night), If you won't, I will throw your luggage out. You won't have any reservations and you didn't pay us any money."
At the end we got in touch with GM of that Hotel, who finally got us the rooms and asked us to pay more which we did, again.
10: When we got in to Masjid-i-Nabvi, women and men were segregated there, women were being searched by black veiled women police, then some other women surrounded us, started lecturing us about our dresses, their lectures were extremely condescending and controlling. They were criticizing our every action, ridiculing our ways of lives. They were being sarcastic at every question that we asked, all they were doing was to praise Saudis.
They made us feel that we are the number one sinners of the world and we need to radically change our ways of lives.
One of them who happened to be from Pakistan was lecturing us to donate for mosques...that would be great charity....I asked her, what about making charity to hospitals and burn centers for poor people? Is this equivalent to making of a mosque?
Her reply was, "Absolutely NOT, it is a good deed, but, not an excellent one. The only excellent deed is to donate your money in the making of mosques and other institution that you can help donate is to send your donations to AL HUDA and other madrrassas.
Then I said, "KHUDA HAFIZ(Good bye)" at the end, she called me back and told me, "This is kufir(sin) to use this word," KHUDA", because this is Iranian word who are not Muslims, we should say, "Allah Hafiz" that is the correct way.
I was bewildered, shocked, speechless and feeling helplessness.
My dream was broken, but, still I felt connection with Khana -i-Kabah and Masjid-i-Nabvi.
I also climbed, "Gar-e-Hira and Gar-e-Saur" which seemed very difficult to climb as both were extremely steep. I noticed that these two historical caves were highly ignored by Saudi government and all I saw were monkeys and some labor class people who were eating food and drinks and were spreading tons of garbage everywhere.
Each and every hill top had Royal Palaces covering miles and miles. There was extreme disparity among the people...few at the top of the hills living luxurious lives, probably laughing at the miseries of those who came to their country to perform Hajj from across the world sleeping in feces and urine being ripped off by Holy ruthless Royalties in the name of Hajj.
My question to Saudis? Why they let millions of poor people gather in one place? Why they let them die in the name of Hajj? Why they can not limit Hajj to less than 1 Million people? Why they rip them off?
I know why, they are greedy vultures who have nothing to do with any religion, let alone Islam or being Muslim.
Is this Humanity? Is this religion?

including young children to gather together in the name of religion called Hajj subject to dying, being looted, plundered, wounded, being exposed to different diseases, sleeping with feces and urine, women being exposed to strangers in an unethical way, being used in the name of religion, being discriminated racially and based of gender, being divided as rich and poor, being hijacked by Saudi thugs, being cheated by Hajj Mafia(Hajj companies), being tormented by fellow humans.
Yes, the things that happened during Hajj are definitely VIOLATIONS OF HUMAN RIGHTS.
